The data model consists of the following:

The IfcApprovalResource schema in the resource layer defines basic concepts for approvals to be assigned to any object in the IFC model derived from IfcObject.

HISTORY This is new schema in IFC 2x, containing IfcApproval previously in IfcControlExtension.
